Scholarship Design
Harris-Jones Scholars receive scholarships of up to $10,000. The scholarship is awarded over a four year / 8 semester period. In order to renew the award, the student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and full-time student status. Students can use the scholarship funds for tuition, room & board, books, and other necessary expenses.
Harris-Jones Scholars also receive a $2,000 Wellness Stipend, awarded in memory of Lyndon Scott Johnson. The stipend is distributed as $500 each January across the same four year / 8 semester period. Renewal follows the same requirements as the scholarship: a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and full-time student status. Students can use the stipend for any expense that supports their mental health and well-being.
